Stephen Ministry at St. Matthew

Welcome to Stephen Ministry at St. Matthew.

Our Stephen Ministers provide one-to-one care to people going through a crisis or difficult time. They meet with that person on a  ongoing basis, offering distinctively Christian care and support.

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, NRSV).

Stephen Ministers care for people with a wide range of ministry needs – grief, divorce, unemployment, hospitalization, loneliness, a spiritual crisis, financial stress, infertility, rehabilitation after an injury, terminal illness, relocation, long-term disability, and countless other life difficulties.

Stephen Ministers are well-trained congregation members who provide high-quality emotional and spiritual support to people who are hurting. If you are in need of Christian caring or would like more information on becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact Pastor Tom or email stephenministry@stmatthewmedina.org today.
