MUSIC

Music is a key avenue through which God is praised in worship.  More than 500 years ago Martin Luther wrote, "Music is a gift of God.  Next to theology, I give music the highest place and the greatest honor."

St. Matthew is blessed with many gifted vocalists and instrumentalists, who willingly enhance our worship, giving glory to God.  Their personal witness provides inspiration and comfort. Musical worship themes change throughout the year, including Traditional, Praise, Jazz, Beatles, Native American, Holden Prayer, Now the Feast, Chicago Folk and Rhythm and Blues, led by John Burke.

The Luther Choir Practices in the Sanctuary, each Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. (currently on Summer break ... will resume August 23).  We welcome all!
