St. Matthew Food Pantry

The St. Matthew Food Pantry is open to the public on the last Sunday of each month from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.  Please use the side entrance off of Pearl Street.  A volunteer will be there to welcome you!

 

A word of gratitude to all the St. Matthew members that have supported the recently opened pantry. A special thank you to the Luther Middles that have been involved with this ministry since inception. The pantry is more than a food pantry. We also provide nonfood items for our neighbors in need.

 

We had a soft opening on December 28, 2025. On that day, we had three guests stop in for items. Since then, we have served dozens of families in our community! Before our guests leave, we ask them to complete a brief form to note what items they need that are not in the pantry. As a result of this feedback, we have added paper products, hygiene items, and even refrigerated dairy items to the panty. All of our guests are very grateful to our congregation for this ministry.

 

Matthew 25:40 Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me."
