Who Do You Trust

In a world of technology, social media, and news outlets, who do you trust? Do you see false information and failure in these various ways to get information and trust them? While leaving our third site, Bob’s navigation took us down (up) a logging road that we couldn’t continue to drive up. This “failure” in technology was a little nerve racking and left us feeling lost. Dave was in the back trusting the Lord through prayer that we could get out of our predicament.

Today, we had the opportunity to meet our first families that we helped. They trusted us. Trusted us to be in their homes; trusted us to provide protection to their homes (all trailers) to get them through winter. While conversing with them, it was apparent they had trust in God. Trust that he has seen them through the past year and he will continue to be there for them. These families live in an area where poverty is prevalent, but you would never know it by their attitudes. They were faith filled, gracious and thankful for the help we provided.

We had the opportunity to also meet some great animals including, Coop, Spot, a few cats, and a goat named Muffin. Muffin was tangled on a leash. I untangled her and she immediately went to feast on the shrubs across from the little creek. She preceded to dine on other grass and weeds and was so happy.

Blessings abounded in our work today. God is our ultimate source of trust. Even in the tough times, we can trust him to see us through.

"Trust in the LORD forever." (Isaiah 26:4)
