Day 4 - Projects & Special Visit

7-15-2028 Yesterday (Tuesday) we were able to finish two coats of paint on the basement floor but with dry time it took two trips during the day and to optimize our ability to work in the basement on Wednesday, a final trip was even made after supper. In between the painting trips we were able help Emma (her children, Mathew and Molly, and her godmother Lisa). At their house we helped them by connecting the shower drain, fixing the roof, and sealing some exterior seams with some caulking. She had asked for help because she needed some things fixed before she gets deployed soon for the next two years.

Our host here at the chalet invited us to fellowship with them at a bonfire that evening. (See previous BLOG)

Today (Wednesday morning) we jumped in working on the basement by putting down baseboards, touching up paint on walls/trim/floor, some electric work on lights, and starting a new section of drop ceiling. We had a visit in the morning by the leaders of Carter County Long Term Disaster Relief and the local area State Representative and several of her staff. They were wanting to see some of the projects that the volunteer teams had been working on recently.
