Day 4 – Final full work day. “I will sleep blessed every night!” The 12-yr old daughter of the home declared when she got her new quilt made by Bethesda’s quilters. The crew worked as hard as possible to get as much done as they could. Four quilts and gift cards were gifted to the homeowners before we left. We gathered with Jessica and Teddy for prayer of course too. Todd went back to Kathy’s house to deliver her gifts. The project tasks we finished today: the bathroom is now fully functional and deep cleaned, ready for their use after 2 years. Three bedrooms are painted. New trim installed around the new windows. Door locks were replaced and the house fan finally be locked again and secured. Ceiling holes that were patched, repainted and finished. The house is now fully sided again and looks complete outside. New light fixture installed in the hallway. Plus so many other small odds and ends that add up to the homeowners feeling like it’s more and more their home again. Thank you for all the love and support to help the crew do this work! Safe travels for them as they return home tomorrow.
