Nervous Anticipation

We traveled to Roan Mountain Tennessee from St. Matthew yesterday after the blessing of the team during the first service.   It was great visiting with my carpool travel companions, Melody and David, during our eight-hour trip.  The roads were dry the weather was beautiful and there was minimal construction.

While I gathered the last items in the morning, my stomach was churning in nervous anticipation.  As I grow older, I tend to be apprehensive about new and different experiences.  I need to remember that no matter how well we plan, things will not be perfect.  God will protect and care for us.  Proverbs 3:5–6, says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  I have found time and time again that when I am open to new experiences they are rewarding.  I am excited about my new experience working in Carter County Tennessee with my fellow Christians during the next week to make the world a better place.

Peace be with you,

Bob Maas
